I walk past this little Japanese restaurant in my neighborhood almost every day. Nothing is new about it. The plants are all mismatched. The signs are old and faded. So are the menus but it somehow looks neat and orderly like the mismatching and fading was done for style. It was like someone put painstaking detail into ensure this looks like this.
Shooting film is a little like this in that the effort to produce an image with shooting, developing, scanning and processing is so much that you strive to pull out your work in your images. This particular day I developed a roll of 36 exposures of Portra and worked really hard to come up with 2 good images. This was the 2nd of the two.
